QUESTION
I live in Egypt and I had two street dogs, now 3... almost. Rashid came to me through my partner, and stayed with me for 3 years. In the summer I travel to my home country, and every time I leave, he run away and back to the streets. Now I have been back for a week and I found him, but he does not seem to be interested in coming home. I am right now a little bit sad, I feel that he is leaving me. I felt that he told me that I have Liza (my other, two year old, street dog), and I need to take care of her.
I tried to get him in by offering him food and water, but instead a half year old puppy moved in. I let him stay and am trying to find him a good home. I found some people who want to adopt him and I had him vaccinated so he can be imported to Europe. Now I am wondering what you think about castrating dogs... and vaccinations and flee treatments like Frontline. Liza and Rashid are both castrated. Liza (who we found inside a plastic bag in the garbage) ended up a sensitive and stay at home pet (I have a feeling she used to be a very small dog, now incarnated in a big dog body... and she is confused about it), but Rashid is as much a boss and street dog as he was before. I love him dearly, though he is a tough case.
Here is so much street dogs and people here treat them very badly. Most of them are very nice, warm hearted dogs.... but full of flees and there is so much puppies. Is it ok to castrate them? I am mostly thinking of the new male puppy I have at home, but maybe also sponsoring the vaccination and sterilization of the female dogs in the street. Is it for their higher best?
I saw a white one eyed female dog, dirty and with flees, and had a feeling one of the puppies she is expecting is coming to me too... I am a little bit sensitive today. =/

ANSWER
Dear Annika,
You have obviously opened your heart to the street dogs, many of whom are evolved beings and are teaching lessons to humans.
Re castration and vaccination etc. the most important thing is your intention and energy around it. If you do this or sponsor it from love and for the highest good of all the dogs, then it is a beautiful and blessed thing to do.
Blessings on all your work with the dogs.
With Love and Blessings,
Diana
