Beliefs and reality

Every single thing that happens to you is a result of your beliefs. These fuel your unconscious drives, causing you to make those choices that you may later regret. While your beliefs may have come from events in another life, from your ancestral patterns or how you perceived your childhood, the good news is that you have the power to change them now.

Here is a simple exercise from Transform Your Life – A step-by-step programme for change, that will help you be aware of how you hold your body and can change your mood.

Exercise

a. Walk round imagining that the roof of your mouth is closer to the ground than it is to the ceiling. Notice how you feel. Observe your mood. Notice how you respond to other people.

b. Now walk round imagining that the roof of your mouth is closer to the ceiling than it is to the ground. Notice how you feel. Observe your mood. Notice how you respond to other people.

Most people feel much lighter, happier and more confident when they walk round as in b. Practise this constantly. The set of your body affects the perceptions of your mind.
